Member Development

Education and Training: Seminars will be held that will provide you with the tools you need to improve your fraternal skills and recruit new members for your lodge. We are asking that you too set a goal of a 2% increase this year in your membership figures. This is easily accomplished in a lodge of 50 members, 1 new member equals 2%.
Emphasis of the seminars will be on membership development look for a Seminar in your area, we hope to come to you to facilitate your participation in them without having to travel long distances and cut down on your expense.

Community Service

Help yourself by helping others: Look around your community and decide on a project that will answer some need in your town and DO it! This need not be elaborate or complicated, and can range from heading up a clean-up campaign, coaching a sports team, story hour at the school or local library, to whatever you decide you want to accomplish. Forms will be provided in the Spring of 2001 or send complete details of your activity to: Community Service, I.O.O.F., 422 Trade St., Winston-Salem, NC 27101

Public Relations

Let your community know the who, what, when and where of your activities! Historically, Odd Fellows and Rebekahs have a reputation for achieving great things through small steps of progress; but we have done it so quietly, people do not know we are there. Appoint a Public Relations Committee or contact person to make sure the news of your successes gets recognized.
How to do this will be one of the topics of the Seminars.
